Terms and conditions

These terms apply to every order you place with MaxFence. Please read them before ordering. If anything is unclear, ask us first.

1. About us and these terms

MaxFence supplies security mesh fencing panels, posts and gates. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean MaxFence and "you" means the person or business placing the order. You can contact us at info@maxfence.co.uk or on 0123456789.

2. Orders

Our website and quotes are an invitation to order. Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm it in writing. We may decline an order, for example if an item is unavailable or a price was shown in error, and we will tell you promptly.

A quote stays valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise. Quotes are not a guarantee of stock.

3. Prices and VAT

Prices are shown per panel, bay, post or gate and exclude VAT (Value Added Tax), which is added at the current rate at checkout. Volume rates apply automatically as quantities increase. For larger quantities we quote individually. We will correct any pricing mistake before your order is confirmed.

4. Payment

Online orders are paid at checkout, unless we have agreed to quote and invoice you. Approved trade customers can pay on account on 30-day terms, subject to references and a credit limit. We may charge interest on late payments under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Delivery

We deliver on our own transport to the areas shown on our delivery map. The delivery charge is confirmed before you pay. Dates are estimates and not guaranteed. In stock products usually dispatch the next working day. Gates are made to order and take longer.

Someone must be available to receive the goods, with safe access for the vehicle and a way to offload heavy items. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes to you when we have been paid in full.

6. Made to order goods

Gates, cut to size items and custom colours are made for you and cannot be cancelled or returned once production has started, unless faulty. Please check sizes carefully before ordering.

7. Cancellations and returns

Our returns policy forms part of these terms. Consumers have a 14 day right to cancel standard stock items, as set out there.

8. Products and installation

Product details and colours are as accurate as we can make them, but photos and screens vary. Our products must be installed by a competent person, following the manufacturer guidance and using suitable fixings. You are responsible for deciding that a product is suitable for your site and for any approvals you need.

9. Our responsibility to you

We supply goods that match their description and are of satisfactory quality. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law, including a consumer's legal rights.

If you are a business, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or indirect loss, and our total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it.

10. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, supply shortages, strikes or road closures. We will tell you and do what we reasonably can to deliver.

11. Privacy

How we use your personal information is explained in our privacy policy.

12. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute, although consumers living elsewhere in the UK keep their local rights. If a part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms, and the version in force when you order applies to that order.
