Welded mesh with a 76.2 × 12.7mm aperture in 4mm wire. The gaps are too narrow for fingers or toes and too tight for hand cutters to get a grip, so 358 is specified for prisons, utilities, rail and data centres.

Where it is used
Highest security in the range. If the risk is lower, V mesh or twin wire will do the job for less.
Custodial & secure sites
Anti-cut and anti-climb. Used on prisons and secure units.
Utilities & substations
Resists hand tools and climbing, so it usually does not need a separate anti-climb top.
Rail & transport
Used on rail boundaries and depots where unauthorised access is a safety issue.
Data centres
High security perimeter for sites where a break-in would be costly.
Common questions
Is 358 mesh really anti-climb?
The 12.7mm gap is too narrow for a finger or toe, so there is nothing to climb on. No mesh stops a determined attacker with the right tools, but 358 slows them far more than 200 × 50mm mesh.
What height do I need?
Most secure perimeters start at 2.4m. Tell us the risk level and we will advise on height and whether a top rail or barrier is worth adding.
Can I fix it to existing posts?
Yes, if the posts are 60mm or larger and suitably spaced. Send us the post centres and we will confirm the fixings.
What is the lead time?
Green is in stock. Black and other RAL colours take 3 weeks.
Are posts included?
No. Posts are ordered separately.
